Nagliai Nature Reserve Nature Trail - Dead Dunes
The Nagliai Nature Reserve, stretching 9 km from Juodkrante to Pervalka, covers an area of 1 680 ha.
Here you can see the Grey Dunes, also known as the Dead Dunes, deserted sites of former settlements, indigenous forest vegetation, or the soils of centuries-old forests buried under sand.
Parnidis dune
The 52-metre-high dune belongs to the Curonian Spit National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dolphinarium
It is the only dolphinarium on the entire eastern Baltic coast.
Dolphin shows are an opportunity to get to know dolphins, to see and understand their behaviour, communication, biology and conservation. It offers educational programmes, therapeutic sessions with dolphins and various events.
Lithuanian Maritime Museum
The museum has 25 aquariums with coral reefs and colourful fish species.
In the museum itself, you'll see seals, northern sea lions, penguins, learn about the history of shipping and see a collection of marine mollusc shells.
Sundial
A granite clock more than 13 metres high.
This granite clock, more than 13 metres high, tells the exact time and counts the months, solstices and equinoxes. The architectural presentation is also striking: if you look closely, you will realise that the geometry of the steps is reminiscent of the sandy layers of a windswept ancient kopje.
Great (or Sklanditeli) Dune
The dune used to be 70 metres high, but over the years it has been reduced in height to 50 metres.
In the middle of the dune is the Lithuanian-Russian-Kaliningrad border, marked by a border stakes.
Death Valley
"Spectacular nature", "exceptional tranquillity" - this is how the valley between the Parnidis and Sklandytojų dunes in Nida is often described.
It is a place of tranquillity and unique views that you won't see anywhere else in Lithuania: grey dunes, specific vegetation that is unique to the area, and views that are reminiscent of deserts.
Grey heron and cormorant colony
It is one of the largest colonies of these birds in Europe.
An observation platform is located on the edge of the Great Cormorant and Grey Heron colony, giving you a closer look at the life of the birds and more detailed information about the breeding site and the birds.
Nida Lighthouse
One of the few 19th century lighthouses in Lithuania that have survived and are still functioning.
The beacon's light, which is almost 30 metres high, can be seen from up to 40 kilometres away, and has a working sounder. Buy a ticket and climb the 132 steps to enter the lighthouse.
Horn Lighthouse
The only lighthouse in the Curonian Lagoon that is not located on land, but on a small island more than 200 metres from the shore.
The stone and metal lighthouse is 14 metres high and is listed in the Register of Immovable Cultural Property of the Republic of Lithuania for its age and uniqueness.

Dendrological trail in Juodkrante
The 1600-metre-long nature trail is located in the northern part of Juodkrante, near the Amber Bay.
The trail is marked with wooden posts and there are 16 stops where you will find boards with descriptions, drawings and photos of the trees. There is also an impressive megaphone-like sound trap along the trail.
Thomas Mann Memorial Museum
The museum is located in the house of the writer Thomas Mann, on the shore of the lagoon, near the centre of Nida.
The terrace of the museum overlooks the Curonian Lagoon and offers a quiet environment where you can sit and enjoy the view. The museum itself offers an audio guide that gives an insight into the writer's life story.

Juodkrante lighthouse
The lighthouse on Witches' Hill is 20 m high, but it reaches a height of 75 m when standing on Witches' Hill.
There is an observation deck at the top of the building, where you can see the Curonian Lagoon and the sea.
The Vececrugo Cluster
The dune is more than 67 metres high and is the highest dune in the Curonian Spit.
The place is fascinating for its unique nature: at the top of the hill there is a small playground from which you can see the sea, the lagoon, the panorama of Cape Bulvikis, and the surrounding mountain pines, and the sound of the Baltic Sea is added to the visual images.

This valley reveals the diversity of Nida's nature: dry, sandy meadows, water pools at the intersection of the valley and the dunes.

Viewing platform on Avikalnis
There is an observation deck on Avikalnis in the Curonian Spit National Park.
It offers views of the Curonian Spit region: the Nagliai Nature Reserve, the Cape Avikalnis floodplain complex and the Dead Dunes. The nurseries, which are more than 230 years old, are visible from the site.
Bear's Head Dune and lookout
A dune more than 35 m high, overlooking the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon.
You can also see the skyline of Klaipėda city, and information stands provide a broader insight into the attractions of the Curonian Spit National Park.
Preila - artists' dune
The 53-metre-high dune offers many different views of the Baltic Sea and the lagoon shore.
You can also see Cape Preila and the bay from here, and Cape Ventė on the other side of the lagoon. Looking further south, you can see Cape Grobstov, which belongs to the Kaliningrad region.
Scorpio cluster
Climb the more than 50-metre-high dune to see panoramic views of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon.
The place is not only charming for its natural views, but also for its remoteness (even in high season, it is more secluded and quiet) - you can enjoy slow walks, observe the nature, and most likely not be surrounded by people.
Cape Bullwinkle
It is the widest point of the Curonian Spit peninsula, reaching 3.8 km.
Cape Bulvikis and the bay offer a magnificent panorama of the Curonian Lagoon coastline and Cape Ventė. With good visibility, the other side of the lagoon looks close by - but the impression is deceptive, as the lagoon between Cape Bulvikis and Cape Ventė is more than 8 km wide and about 3 m deep.
Nida St. Church of Our Lady of Christian Aid
The church, built on a decaying dune, reflects the spirit of the seaside.
It is clad in dark oak boards, has a reed roof and an openwork cross visible from all sides in Nida. Inside, it's spacious, with large glass windows and an amphitheatre in the churchyard where events are held.

Nida Walk of Stars
Everyone knows the famous music festival "Benai, let's sail to Nida!".
To commemorate the contribution of those who have contributed to the festival each year, the Walk of Fame was opened in Nida in 1998, with tiles carved with the palm prints of Lithuanian music legends. The 100-metre-long trail is located at the festival's origin, next to the Nida harbour.
Ethnographic fisherman's homestead in Nida
Visit the fisherman's house and you will be transported back to the 19th century and see the old life of the Curonian Spit.
You will get a feel for the life of the people at that time by being surrounded by authentic furniture, objects and fishing tools. This museum also uses interactive tools to tell the story.

Nida ethnographic cemetery
It is one of the oldest sites in Nida. Here you can see Curonian burial crosses of unique appearance and symbolism.
Next to the cemetery stands the old Nida Church, built in the early 19th century, which is one of the oldest wooden churches in the Curonian Spit.
